CHANDOR: Rosary High School, Navelim beat Perpetual Succour High School, Navelim 1-0 to move into the finals of Teacher Dolorosa Memorial Football tournament, organised by Chandor Club, played at Chandor ground, on Friday.
Rosary opened the account through Maria Colaco’s curler shot off Roshani Chavan’s connect.
Minutes later, Perpetual Succour through talented striker Chelsea Crasto should have found the ball at the back of the Rosary net off a fine connect of Kamreen Martins but the latter’s shot kissed the rival cross bar and went out of play.
As the match progressed into the second half, Rosary adopted a defensive setup in the defence line by adding an extra force from the midfield comprising of Uma Patil, Sabina Khan and Ifa Khan as the cordoned the defence line till the end of the match.
Just few minutes left for the final whistle Rosary’s Jolinda Ferrao’s well knitted moves was saved by keeper Mayflower Colaco.
Rosary High School, Navelim will now clash with Regina Martyrum High School, Assolna on Saturday.
