UTORDA: Rossman Cruz SC, Verna-Nagoa beat St Anthony SC, Colva 3-2 via the tie-breaker to advance into the quarter-finals of the All Goa 25th Lourdes Festival Soccer, in memory of late Polly Rodrigues, organised by United Club of Utorda, in association with Sports Authority of Goa, Panjim at SAG ground, Utorda, on Friday.
Baptist Fernandes of Colva should have netted the first in the second minute but his shot hit the rival post and went out of play. Brian Costa scored for Rossman Verna in the 15th minute from the penalty spot.
Crossing over Colva put pressure on their opponents and Baptista Fernandes found the equaliser in the 40th minute.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Rossman Cruz Nagoa Verna proved to be better shooters.
