TUEM: Rossman Cruz Nagoa, Verna, earned a hard fought 1-0 victory over Nerul Sports Club and moved to the next round of the FC Tuem Champions Trophy in association with CAM group of companies.
Both teams dished out fast-paced football. However the scores were 0-0 at half-time.
Post resumption, in the 54th minute, Roydon Rego’s brilliant cross saw unmarked Andrew John who made no mistake to tap ball into the Nerul’s net.
In the last ten minutes, Nerul went all out to equalise but the Rossman back line were hard nuts to crack.
Noel D’Souza of Rossman Cruz and Jose Fernandes of Nerul SC were cautioned for unsporting behaviour while Sanket Naik was shown the yellow card for reckless tackle.
