PANJIM: S Caculo College, Mapusa for the third consecutive time won the Inter-Collegiate Cricket Championship 2015-16 for men organized by Goa University at university ground, Taleigao Plateau, on Wednesday.
In the final, Caculo College defeated DM’s College, Assagao by 44 runs. Winning the toss and batting first, Caculo College scored 155 runs losing six wickets in 20 overs. Lakshay Garg (37) n.o, Atul Yadav (23), Guruprasad Aroskar (18), Nikhil Gadekar (13) n.o were the highest scorers. Raghunath Parab 2/25, Shivam Halarnkar 1/11 and Sahil Chari 1/17 excelled in the bowling department.
In reply, DM’s College could manage to score only 111 runs losing nine wickets in 20 overs. Shubham Chari (32), Amulya Pandnekar (24), Prathamesh Gawas (12) topped scored. Nikhil Gadekar 3/14, Lakshay Garg 2/11, Ashish Nail 2/25, Mahadev Parab 1/15 demolished the rival’s batting line-up.
