Winning the toss and opting to bat the SAG B batsmen were very cautious but the run out of Manthan Khutkar (22) was a setback. Sachin soldiered on and a very crucial partnership of 53 runs between him and Sanat Prabhudesai (27) released the pressure.
Heramb Parab (2 for 43) Shreyas Gawande (2 for 32) while Nagappa scalped one wicket. SAG finished with 189 for 6 in 45 overs.
A seemingly gettable target was a mirage for the more experienced SAG A batsmen as the wickets fell at regular intervals. Craig Dourado (4 for 21) was the wrecker in chief supported by Unni Krishna (3 for 43). Off-spinner Saiesh Satardekar took the most important wicket of the set Kanishk Masurkar (52) and changed the course of the match. SAG A could manage only 156 in 33.5 overs.
Former Sports Minister Babu Azgaonkar was the chief guest and gave away the prizes to Man-of-the-final: Sachin Mishra, Best bowler: Digesh Raikar and Best batsman: Manthan Khutkar.
