PANJIM: Don Bosco High School registered a 57-run victory over Sharda Mandir High School in the U-16 Tiswadi Taluka Dilio Sardessai inter-school cricket tournament, organised by Goa Cricket Association, at Campal ground, on Friday.
Electing to bat first, Sagar Vatamuri scored 145 runs with 21 fours and five sixes to help his team post 268 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 40 overs.
Suhas Pilankar was the other top scorer for the Panjim school with 46 runs.
For Sharda Mandir Hs, Harsh Sangelkar was the pick of the bowlers as he took five wickets giving away 35 runs.
In reply, Sharda Mandir were bundled out for 211 in 35.3 overs.
Gaurab Surti (38 runs) and Harsh Safaz (32 runs) were the top run getters for Sharda Mandir School. Yashas Naik (3/33) impressed with the ball for Don Bosco. Sagar Vantamuri (2/31), Harsh Jethaj (2/21) and Suhas Pilankar (2/27) were the other wicket takers for the winners.
