PANJIM: Salgaocar FC defeated P.Y, Nuvem 6-0 in the U-16 League organized by Goa Football Association played at Artificial Turf, Fatorda on Thursday.
Kenneth Da Costa scored a hat trick, while Kyle D’Cruz, Antush Moniz and Joswel Cardozo scored one each.
Salgaocar FC opened the scoring in the 9th minute through Kyle D’Cruz. The Green Brigade doubled their lead in the 20th minute through Kenneth Da Costa. Kenneth added another in the 34th minute to make it 3-0 in favour of the Greens.
Post resumption, there was no stoping for the Salgaocar boys as they added two more goals with strikes from Antush Moniz and Joswel Cardozo in the 48th and 65th minute respectively. Kenneth completed his hat trick netting it in in the 75th minute.
In another game held at Curtorim ground, Churchill Brothers SC beat A A de Majorda 3-2.
Mevan Dias, Bradly Carvalho and Aaron Rodrigues scored for the Varca team while Hewith Felizardo and Debebhra Pun scored for the Ave Maria boys.
Betalbatim SC beat Ave Maria AWC 2-1 in a game held at Rosary ground, Navelim.
Nehal Gaunkar opened the scoring for the Betalbatim team in the 2nd minute while Chrosson Fernandes levelled terms for Ave Maria AWC in the 54th minute. Nehal Gaunkar completed his brace in the 63rd minute to ensure his team takes all the points from the game.
At Don Bosco ground, Goa Velha SC beat Don Bosco Oratory 7-0. Sahil Kuntikar scored a hat trick while Nash Fernandes scored a brace and Kedan Fernandes and Lookendra Thapa scored one each for the Goa Velha team.
