Holders Salgaocar Veterans recorded an impressive 2-0 win over United Club, Fatorda to enter the finals of 10th Salgaocar memorial veterans soccer tournament organised by Prime Sports Club at Nagoa ground on Sunday. Salgaocar led 2-0 at the breather
Salgaocar surged ahead through striker Domingos Vaz. The defending champions consolidated the lead before the lemon break through Lawrence Gomes.
In the U-16 semi-finals, a marvellous hat-trick by striker Brandon Fernandes and another goal by Vishal Rodrigues enabled Salgaocar to drub Orlim Sports Club 4-1 to book a place in the finals.
Earlier, chief guest Rosario Colaco, former Salgaocar defender, was introduced to the teams by Remedios Ferrao.
