Salgaocar score 207 for 4; Chowgule trail by 128 runs

PANJIM: Salgaocar scored 207 for 4 against Geno on day 2 of the first semi-final of the Goa Premier League held at Goa Cricket Academy, Porvorim, on Wednesday. 
Earlier, Geno were bundled out for 415. 
Having a huge score task up their sleeves,    Salgaocar opened the batting with Kunal Chandela and Swapnil Asnodkar  but the pair did not get off to a good start as they were dismissed quickly by Saurabh Bandekar.
Despite suffering an early  set-back but the Salgaocar skipper Amogh Dessai and Kennan Vaz managed to lay down a good foundation for their team as Amogh scored 88 runs off 157 balls before being sent back to the pavilion by Jalaj Saxena. 
Kennan Vaz (89) remained at the crease along with Shubham Desai(3). Salgoancar trail by 218 runs at the end of day 2.
 Meanwhile in the second semi-final held at Goa Cricket Academy ground, Sanguem, Dempo were bundled out for 381 by Chowgule. 
The Dempo skipper Darshan Misal was the top scorer with 80 runs off 81 balls while Vinay Choudhary managed to score 70 runs off 94 balls before being dismissed by Felix Alemao. 
The Chowgule bowlers put in a formidable effort as Sunil Kumar Dalal scalped 3 wickets while Vijish Prabhudesai and Vishambar Kahlon picked up 2 wickets.
 At stumps, Tunish Sawkar (28) and Vaibhav Govekar (5) remained at the crease as Chowgule scored 33 for no loss in their second innings.  
Chowgule trail by 128 runs at the end of day 2.
