Salgaocar trail by 97 runs

MAPUSA: Salgaocar Sports Club are trailing by 97 runs in their first innings against Sarvodaya Royals in the finals of Goa Cricket Association's two-day Test tournament at GCA ground, Porvorim, on Monday.

MAPUSA: Salgaocar Sports Club are trailing by 97 runs in their first innings against Sarvodaya Royals in the finals of Goa Cricket Association’s two-day Test tournament at GCA ground, Porvorim, on Monday.
All the tournament matches were held for two days, except the finals which is a three-day battle. 
On Sunday, Salgaocar won the toss and elected to field. Sarvodaya posted 275 for the loss of seven wickets and were bundled out for 328 in 108.2 overs on Monday. 
Rohit Naik was unfortunate as he missed a century by six runs while Amogh Desai scored a half century. Ramdayal Punia and Darshan Misal picked up three wickets each for Salgaocar. 
At close on day two, Salgaocar were 231/3, trailing by 97 runs with Parvinder Singh (50) and Vishant More (43), both not out. 
Brief score: Sarvodaya Royals, 1st inning-overnight: 275 for 7, all out 328 in 108.2 overs. Robin D’Souza 16, Avinash Yadav 11, Sahil Dhuri n.o. 26 runs. Ramdayal Punia 3-84, Ryan D’Souza 2-25, Darshan Misal 3-116, Maliksab Shiroor and Suraj Dongre one wicket each. 
Salgaocar CC, 1st inning: 231 for 3 in 69 overs. Suraj Dongre 72, Prathmesh Gauns 15, Sagun Kamat 45, Parvinder Singh 50 n.o., Vishal More n.o. 43 runs. Sahil Dhuri and Avinash Yadav one wicket each.
