Sangolda jolt St Savio

Sangolda Lightning Sports Club scored a 4-1 win over St Savio Sports Club, Calangute, in a match of Aldona Cup inter-village football tournament organised by Quitula Sports Club at Quitula grounds, Quitula, on Sunday. The score read 1-1 at the breather.
Sangolda opened the account in the 6th minute through striker Sherwin Lobo scoring off a neat pass from Wayne Soares.
Calangute restored the parity in the 18th minute, off a self-goal by Sangolda. Calangute striker Bruno Coutinho cross passed to his mate Vijay Parsekar who shot at the Sangolda goal. Incidentally, the ball hit Sangolda defender Ranjit Naik and dropped past his own goalie 1-1.
After crossover, Daniel Fernandes netted one off a pass from Tome Alvares in the 62nd minute. Two minutes later, Wayne Soares dribbled past the Calangute defender and placed the ball past rival goalie.
In the 70th minute, Stanford Franco rounded off the tally, off a pass from Agnelo Quadros.
