Sangolda Lightning in semis

Sangolda Lightning defeated Curtorim Gymkhana by a solitary goal to move into the semi-finals of late V.M. Salgaoncar trophy, organised by Saligao Sporting, at Saligao ground onMonday.
The teams played excellent soccer but failed to score in the first-half.
In the second half, Sangolda took the lead in the 7th minute, through a long range from James Soares.
Down by a goal, Curtorim forwards mounted pressure on rival defense, but Sangolda Goalkeeper Tari proved to be of tough, denying Curtorim the equaliser.
