PANJIM: A century by Santosh Satarkar helped Mashem Cricket Club crushed Colvalem Cricket Club by 134 runs in the qualifying group match of the 34th Nanda J Lolyekar Cricket tournament at Nirakar Maidan Dapot, Mashem, Canacona, on Sunday.
Mashem Cricket Club won the toss and elected to bat scoring 282 runs by losing nine wickets in allotted 35 overs. Santosh Satarkar scored 113 runs by hitting 14 fours and four sixes.
Durgesh Prabhugaokar 57 and Vinesh Satarkar 28 were the other scorers. Mayur Mahale, Abhijit Patil and Brijesh Faldesai claimed two wickets each.
In reply, Colvalem Cricket Club were all out at 148 in 29 overs. Abhijit Patil 44, Viraj Puranik 34 top scored. Santosh Satarkar 2/2, Mayur Nadkarni 2/16, Vinesh Satarkar 2/13 and Tushar Sawant 2/42 performed well for the winners.
On January 10, Bannerman will face Nayal Borim.
