CURCHOREM: Sarzora Sports Club got the better of Chandor Sports Club 5-4 via tie-breaker to enter the quarter-final of Fr Gervasio Pinto Memorial football tournament, organised by Guardian Angel Sports Club, at Figuereido ground, Curchorem on Thursday.
The teams were involved in a goal less draw during regular time.
Both the teams played by mounting tremendous pressure on each other and missed many chances narrowly to take the lead.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Sarzora proved to be better shooters. Ryan Fernandes, Nickson Rebello, Dolwin Costa, Steplon D’Costa and Merilo Ferrao scored for Sarzora while Cruz Gomes, Seby Fernandes, Vicky Fernandes and Agnes Vaz netted for Chandor.
