AGASSAIM: Sateri Sports Club defeated Bhagwati Sports Club 4-1 in an enthralling Goa Football Association Second Division League match, played at Agassaim ground, on Saturday.
After a goalless first half either of the teams started attacking in order to find the breakthrough after a lot of attempts at the goal Sateri SC finally managed to open their account through a counter attacking move in the 70th minute after Vilas Bandodkar swept home a brilliant cross by his teammate.
Bhagwati’s Vinayak Kunkalekar made it all square in the 76th minute.
Bhagwati SC after scoring the equaliser went all out in order to find the winner but Sateri’s defence stood solid rock and managed to get yet another goal through Vilas in the 80th minute this inflating their lead.
Sateri SC took advantage of the feeble Bhagwati SC’s defence and netted two more goals through Virendra Kunkolkar and Amit Shirvaikar in the 84th and 90th minutes respectively to take home all three points.
