AGASSAIM: Sateri Sports Club and Odxel Sports Club played out a 2-2 draw in the Goa Football Association’s Second Division League match played at Agassaim ground, on Saturday.
Sateri SC drew the first blood in the 2nd minute as Nilesh Murgaonkar made no mistake to net the goal on their first attack on the rival citadel.
Odxel SC re-grouped and tried to level scores but their attempts were foiled time and again by the rival defence. It was only in the 42nd minute that Odxel SC finally found the equaliser through the boots of Vishal Kankonkar, who swiftly shot past the rival keeper.
Odxel SC continued their attacking rampage.
Ajay Divkar dribbled past a couple of defenders and shot the ball home in the injury time of the first half to make it 2-1.
Post resumption, Odxel SC tried to defend their goal advantage as Sateri SC went all guns blazing as they tried to level scores. Vilas Bandodkar scored to make it 2-2.
