PARODA: SC Davorlim blanked Cuncolim Union 2-0 to march into the semi-finals of Assis Afonso inter-village football tournament organised by Fr. Agnel Youth Sports Club, at panchayat ground, Avedem-Paroda, on Sunday.
SC Davorlim dominated the match from the word go. Paxton Gomes connected the ball to Robinson Colaco, who in turn made no mistake to net the first goal of the match with a header. Three minutes later, Abhay Shetty made it 2-0 for SC Davorlim.
Minutes later, Cuncolim Union upcoming striker Daulat Dessai’s long ranger was palmed away to safety by SC Davorlim keeper.
In later part of the match, the defence lines of SC Davorlim were on active mode and thwarted the Cuncolim Union strikers move and the keeper of SC Davorlim Salito Miranda shielded well from the goal line.
