BETALBATIM: SC Davorlim blanked St Anthony, Colva 2-0 to enter the finals of the Martins Cup football tournament, at the Betalbatim ground, on Wednesday.
It was Maxon Fernandes, the central defender of Colva who created an opportunity to score with his long range shot but his shot got deflected off Davorlim defender Leasser Raikar and went out of play in the 6th minute.
Davorlim’s Mark Borges missed a solo effort grounder by few inches in the 15th minute.
SC Davorlim in the second half changed the game plan by getting Andrew Colaco from the defence line to forward line which paid off as Andrew netted in the first goal with full volley from the right flank in the 46th minute. Minutes later, Colva’s Baptist Fernandes and Menino Hilario failed to convert.
As the match was about to end, Agnelo Colaco netted the second goal for SC Davorlim with a placement shot.
