CALATA: SC Davorlim blanked Carmona SC 4-0 to lift St Rock’s Cup in the final of the 29th St Rock Super Soccer, in memory of late Agnelo D’Costa organised by St Rock, YC Calata, at Calata-Majorda ground, on Sunday.
It was Perryson Rebello of Davorlim who netted the first goal of the match with a placement shot in the 30th minute.
Within five minutes Mark Borges made it 2-0 for Davorlim before Abhay Shetty made it 3-0 for Davorlim.
After the break, Mark Borges inflated the lead to make it 4-0 for Davorlim in the 47th minute.
The winners were awarded Rs 40,000 while the runners-up received Rs 30,000 plus trophies respectively.
MLA Nuvem Constituency Wilfred D’Sa was the chief guest and gave away the prizes to winners and runners-up in the presence of wife of late Agnelo Caitan D’Costa, Alexandrina D’Costa, Sarpanch of Majorda V.P. Agnelo Pereira other dignitaries and club officials.
