BETALBATIM: SC Davorlim defeated Rossman Cruz Nagoa Verna 3-1 to enter into the semi-final of the Martin’s Cup football tournament held at the Betalbatim ground, on Friday.
In the first minute itself Savio Fernandes of Rossman Cruz could have netted the opener but the strikers move was foiled by Leasser Raikar.
Later in the game, Agnelo Colaco of Davorlim moved with the ball from the centre and crossed the ball diagonally to Mark Borges at the top of the Rossman box; Mark brilliantly shot the ball past the Rossman keeper to open the account.
As the match progressed, Andrew Colaco’s strike made it 2-0 for Davorlim before Rossman Cruz’ Eusebio Fernandes netted with a placement shot in the 36th minute to make it 1-2.
Davorlim further fired the third in the final minutes of the game through Agnelo Colaco’s screamer.
