There was no score at full time. Both the teams started the game on a cautious note as they struggled to play attacking football due to incessant rains and wet ground conditions.
Both had equal number of scoring chances but their forwards were guilty of squandering easy sitters.
The same trend continued after the change of ends, as the teams adopted safety approach. There were few thrills at either ends. Midway in the second session, Navelim nearly broke the deadlocked but striker Allister Gomes well executed shot was well blocked by Sporting Club of Davorlim goalkeeper.
At the fag end, Davorlim went all out in search of a match winner but Navelim Sporting Club goalkeeper came to his side rescue by fisting away Paxton Gomes snap shot.
In the ensuing penalty shoot out, Allister Gomes, Jaison Pereira, Bitu Singh and Rovel Gomes found the mark for Navelim Sporting Club while Venson Figureido and Paxton Gomes converted for Davorlim.
