MAPUSA: Savio, Noel and Joel scored in the tie-breaker as SCAN, Nachinola overcame St Sebastian Football Club, Mapusa 3-1 in an exhibition match to mark the Bom Jesus festival at Nachinola church ground, Sunday. The match was goalless at full time. Francis scored St Sebastian’s solitary penalty.
Nachinola were awarded the trophy and cash prize from the Freddy Fernandes. The following prizes were awarded: best goalkeeper Savio Cardoza (Nachinola), best defender Irish Fernandes (St Sebastian), best midfielder Francis Fernandes (St Sebastian), best forward (Philip Pinto) and man-of-the-match Noel Fernandes (Nachinola).
