Cavelossim came close to scoring in the 23rd minute but
Aston Dias was unfortunate as he saw his effort hit the rival goal post off an assist by Valerian Fernandes.
Thereafter, in the 29th minute, Goa Velha had a golden opportunity to score but Arun Naik ballooned over from an ideal position.
Post resumption, Cavelossim dominated the proceedings and scored through Aston Dias in the 40th minute off a penalty-kick.
Subsequently, Cavelossim doubled their advantage through Aston Dias’ well composed shot off a supply by Neil Cardoza.
With a two goal cushion, Cavelossim inflated their tally with Aston securing his brace with a neat finish after being set up by Valerian.
However, in the dying minutes, Goa Velha SC pulled a goal back through Izekel Vaz.
