PANJIM: SSC Loutolim defeated Navelim Villagers 7-6 via the tie-breaker in the 11th London Trophy organised by Goa Velha SC and played at Goa Velha ground, on Sunday.
Sandip Konde of Loutolim after receiving a pass from Jelson Fernandes fired a shot at Navelim Villagers Union goal which sailed over the cross bar.
In another attempt Hanson Cardozo tried to score a goal off Steve Fernandes cross but however the formers strike was saved by a diving goalkeeper Dalwin Costa in the Navelim goal.
Dickson Alves put Loutolim ahead as he cut past the defence of Navelim Villagers and shot the ball home.
Just before the break, Aulom Gomes resored parity by heading in the goal. The teams were levelled 1-1 at half-time.
After the break Steve Fernandes put SSC Loutolim ahead.
Navelim went out for equaliser and missed several chances through Clinton Niasso and Darren.
Fr Americo finally equalised for Navelim Villagers at the very end with a header off a corner taken by Aulon Gomes to take the match into the tie-breaker.
In the tie-breaker Sandip, Zico, Mark, Flager and Steve scored for SSC Loutolim while Aulon, Anil, Suraj and Vernon managed to find the net for Navelim Villagers Union.
