MAPUSA: Sesa Football Academy (Jrs) registered a hard-fought solitary goal victory over Saligao Sporting Club in a GFA Second Division League football match at Sangolda ground, Wednesday. There was no score at half time.
After a barren first half, the teams tried hard to break the deadlock. Sesa scored the match-winner through Steven Colaco in the 69th minute.
In an under-16 league play-off semi-final match, at Parra ground, Goa United Sports Academy thumped Club Athletico de Parra 2-0 to book their berth in the final.
Sesa FA crushed Assonora Football Club 7-1 in an under-14 football league match at Tivim ground while Cana Benaulim and Young Strikers Club were locked in a 1-1 draw at Betalbatim ground.
