PANJIM: SFX Borim knocked-out Max Caterers, Nuvem 1-0 to enter the quarter-finals of the London Cup floodlit football tournament, organized by Siridao Sports Club, at River Plate ground, Siridao, on Monday.
SFX Borim striker Ashely unleashed a powerful strike that proved to be the match-winner. He was assisted by Godfrey.
In the second session, Max Caterers Marcus was impressive as he attempted couple of shots but the Borim custodian and defence left them frustrated.
In the final minutes of the match, Borim came close to scoring but Franky’s effort hit the crossbar as they held on to their slender lead.
