Siridao: SFX Borim thrashed RCCL USA 3-1 to lift the 3rd Trawlers Owners Cup floodlit football tournament organised by Siridao Sport Club at riverplate Siridao Sports Club ground recently.
Myron slammed in a goal in the 10th minute to give SFX Borim a lead.
RCCL played attacking football right from the start and Suraj could have scored the equlizer but shot wide. Godfrey of SFX Borim went all out solo and netted the second goal in 25th minutes to make it 2-0. There after RCCL tried to come back in form but their connection to their forwards was disconnected by the rival defence. Borim displayed attacking football as Myron shot wide before the lemon time.
Crossing over RCCL tried hard to reduce the margin and played shot passes. But couldn’t finish due to poor connection. And as the match progressed SFX Borim again took control of the proceding and netted the third goal off a Samuel pass to Godfrey. And just before the final whistle Isac reduced the margins for RCCL.
Jagdish Bhobe sarpanch of V P Goa Velha was the chief guest and gave away the prizes The winner won Rs.40000 as their prize money while runners up pocketed Rs.30000.
