PANJIM: SFX Boys, Chicalim sealed their place in the final of 2nd All-Goa 7-a-side football tournament organized by Mormugao United Sports and Cultural Club, at Bogda ground, Vasco, Sunday.
The second finalist will emerge on next Sunday after the second phase of group matches. The final is slated on August 15.
Earlier, chief guest parish priest of Destero church, Fr Anthony Rodrigues inaugurated the tournament in the presence of special invitees Costas, Babun, Agostinho and others.
The winners will be awarded RS 33,333 while the runner’s-up will take home RS 22,222 along with trophies.
The prime object of the tournament is to promote football and also to encourage young and budding footballers all over the State.
