Shillong Lajong defeated Pune FC 2-0 in their fourth round match of ONGC 2nd Division League match at Tau Devi Lal Stadium Gurgaon to gain full three points and move up the table with nine points. Both goals were scored in the first half.
Sairhohao Tuboi put Lajong ahead in the 26th minute when he moved from the right flank, came to the box, tackled the defenders and put the ball in.
The second goal came 11 minutes later when Roming Thanga received a ball just outside the box on the left flank, his right footer going directly into the goal.
Pune FC tried to come back in the second half and made few good moves but could not break the Shillong defence line.
At the end of Round IV, Shillong Lajong have nine points,Salgaocar and ONGC have seven points each while Pune FC and Viva have six points each, while Sesa have yet to score a point.
