MARDOL: Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda beat PY Nuvem 5-3 via the tie-breaker to lift the 31st Mardol Trophy, at Mardol ground, on Saturday.
Nuvem took the lead in the 10th minute through a rasping drive from Inacio Colaco from outside box to make it 1-0.
PY Nuvem strikers time and again were denied from scoring by the Fatorda keeper Sweizel Pereira.
In second half, DBO Fatorda equalised in the 73rd minute through Roque Borges.
In resultant tie-breaker DBO Fatorda proved better shooters.
The winners were awarded Rs 40,000 while the runners-up received Rs 30,000 plus trophies.
Ex-MLA Deepak Dhavalikar was the chief guest and gave away the prizes to the winners and runners-up in the presence of club president Digvijay Velingkar, Chandrakant Gaude, Megha Mardolkar, club officials and other dignitaries.
