TALEIGAO: Shree Nagesh Maharudra Sports Club put up an impressive second half performance to come from behind and score a narrow 2-1 win over United Sports Club of Mardol in the Goa Football Association Second Division League Ilhas Zone match played at Taleigao ground, on Monday.
USC Mardol had a dream start in the game as they enjoyed better share of possession in the opening minutes and took the lead in the 25th minute through Diptesh Kundaikar.
The goal being the only difference separating the two sides at the break, USC lead 1-0 over Shree Nagesh.
Crossing over, it was a different story as Shree Nagesh were clearly the better among the two and they scored the equaliser in the 54th minute through Vihan Kholkar.
Shree Nagesh scored the match-winner with just four minutes left on the clock through Shubham Vernekar.
