PANJIM: Shreyesh Sawant won Usgao-Ganjem panchayat level 1st Rapid Chess tournament by winning all six matches. Sangarsh Gaude and Sameer Thakarkar secured the second and third places respectively.
The tournament was organised by Dhatwada Usgao Citizen Forum, Usgao in association with Ponda Taluka Chess Association, at Gurunath temple hall, Dhatwada Usgao. Other prizes include Best U-13: Mohit Gaonkar; Best U-11: Arnav Naik.

The prizes were distributed by chief guest Laxmikant Khandokar (Social worker) in the presence of Panchayat Member-Vaibhavi Gaude, Satyavan Naik, President of Dhatwada UC Forum, Anand Kurtikar,Chief Arbiter and other dignitaries.
