Youth are energetic and they bring pace in the game, but sometimes to win matches one needs experienced players. Friday was the perfect example as Corps of Signals Binu Purushothaman was certainly the best player on the field.
Despite Amit netting the only goal in the game, many would wonder why Binu was our pick. But it was easy for us considering his key brilliant saves in the game. Binu first thwarted danger when he collected Joyson’s long delivery in the box. In the second half, Binu was even better as he denied Lakesh Gawas twice with brilliant saves.
The 42-years-old goalkeeper has vast playing experience as he represented the State and then went on to play for Salgoacar FC and Churchill Brothers too. Binu’s vital blocks undoubtedly gave Signals three points and those witnessed the match would agree with the same.
