MAPUSA: Siolim Veterans registered a comfortable 2-0 win over Moira Veterans to enter the semi-finals of the 1st Morjim Veterans Football Cup, organised by Morjim Veterans, at Village Panchayat ground Morjim.
The man-of-the-match Shriram Vernekar scored both the goals.
In the next quarter-finals, SAI Veterans defeated Kuchelim Veterans by 3-1 margin. Benedict Fernandes, Venancio Gonsalves and Edith Fernandes scored for SAI Veterans while Naresh Virnodkar was on target for Kuchelim.
Benedict Fernandes of SAI was adjudged as the man-of-the-match.
