CALANGUTE: Siolim Sodiem Sports and Cultural Association defeated Navelim Villagers Union 3-2 to move into the semi-finals of 5th All-Goa Reis-Magos Panchayat Cup inter-village football tournament, organized by Verem Boys, Verem in collaboration with United Club of Nerul, at Panchayat ground, Ambekhand, Verem, on Tuesday.
After a goalless first half, Sodiem broke the deadlock with Sangam Pednekar finding the net in the 37th minute.
Francis Fernandes doubled the score while Shervin Lobo made the issue safe for Sodiem.
However, Sodiem conceded two quick goals scored by Bitu Singh to make it 3-2.
