Siridao Sports Club trounced Nauxim Sports Club 3-0 to move into the semi-finals of Frank Pires memorial soccer tournament, near Siridao church ground, on Friday. Siridao led 2-0 at the breather.
Siridao surged ahead when Wilson D’Mello slotted past the goalkeeper in the very 3rd minute. Cedric D’Souza doubled the lead for Siridao.
Changing over, Alistair Rodrigues rounded off the tally for Siridao. Nauxim tried their best to reduce the margin but were unable to get past the stubborn Siridao defence.
In another match, Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda trounced PVC Parra 6-2 to move into the semi-finals. Don Bosco led 2-1 at the breather.
Verna Sports Club got the better of St Sebastiao Sports Club 5-4 via the tie-breaker to enter the semi-finals. There was no score at the end of the regulation period.
