SAO JOSE DE AREAL: Sao Jose de Areal blanked YS Benaulim 3-0 to enter the quarterfinals of the Areal Panchayat Cup inter village football tournament, organised by Sao Jose de Areal SC, at Padribhat Sao Jose de Areal football ground, on Tuesday.
Sao Jose de Areal netted a goal each through Bersal Viegas in the 29th and 45th minutes. Both goals were assisted by Priston Gomendes. Stalen Oliveira also recorded his name on the scoresheet in the 59th minute and made it 3-0 for Areal. Keegan Fernandes of Benaulim was declared best player of the of the match and received the award from Jose Carvalho.
