CALANGUTE: Sodiem Siolim Sports and Cultural Club got the better of ABC Arambol 4-2 via tie-breaker in the inaugural match of Rusi Daver Cup All-Goa inter-village football tournament organised by Adarsh Yuvak Sangh, at Saligao ground, on Sunday.
Both the teams began the match on a positive note and came close to scoring on couple of occasions but their forwards failed to find the net.
The winners were decided on penalties. Sodiem Siolim kept their nerves to romp home winners by 4-2. Rakesh Vaigankar, Prahalad Mandrekar, Pushparaj Mandrekar and Vinay Pednekar converted for Sodiem Siolim while Amit Fernandes and Vithal Kinelkar were on target for Arambol.
Earlier, the match was kicked off by Pradeep Padgaonkar in presence of club officials and other dignitaries.
