CAVELOSSIM: Sporting Club of Davorlim shot-out Betalbatim SC 3-2 via the tie-breaker to move into the semi- finals of Cavelossim Village Panchayat Cup organised by Santa Cruz Club of Cavelossim, at Fr.Dunstan & Wellington ground, Cavelossim, on Friday.
The score was goalless in the first half.
In the second half, Sporting Club of Davorlim mounted pressure on Betalbatim and a powerful attempt by Davorlim’s Agnelo Colaco was brilliantly saved by Betalbatim keeper Milton D’Sousa.
In quick succession, a counter attack by Betalbatim striker Francis Rodrigues saw his powerfull shot strike the woodwork to the dismay of his teammates and supporters.
The score was goalless at the end of regulation time.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Joe, Agnelo and Mable scored for Davorlim while Oliver and Francis managed to score for Betalbatim.
Sporting Club Davorlim will now clash with Margao SC on November 7.
