PANJIM: Sporting Clube will take on Vasco Sports Club in their final Goa Pro League clash at the Duler Stadium, on Thursday. The kick-off is at 4 p.m.
The Flaming Oranje have already pocketed the title as Churchill Bros drew their Round 18 clash against Calangute Association. With this result Sporting Clube sit on top of the table comfortably with 36 points while Churchill Bros are on 31 points, both teams having one match left to play.
The previous fixture between the two sides saw Sporting Clube get the better of Vasco SC 3-1 as their star striker Odafa Okolie scored a brace and Marcus Mascarenhas netted a fantastic goal. Chinedu Ejidgu was the scorer for Vasco SC.
“We want to finish the tournament on a high,” said Mateus Costa. The gaffer further added,“This is completely in our hands and we will not wait for the other results. We will go out there with the intention to pocket full three points, no compromise on that.”
