Sporting keen to avoid relegation

The relegation battle in the I-League has come down to the wire. The last match day of the league will see four relegation battlers fighting for survival in three different regions of the country.
One amongst them is Sporting Club De Goa who are just two points behind Shillong Lajong and Mumbai FC and three behind Air India. Air India have 28 points, Mumbai FC 26, Shillong Lajong FC 26 and Sporting Clube De Goa 24.
In the bottom half, Salgaocar SC are at 8th spot with 30 points, followed by East Bengal on ninth with 29 points and Viva Kerala on tenth with 29 points.
May 27: Mahindra United – JCT (Mumbai), Dempo SC – Pune FC (Goa), East Bengal – Viva Kerala (Kolkata).
May 28: Salgaocar – Shillong Lajong FC (Goa), Chirag United – Sporting Clube de Goa (Kolkata), Churchill Brothers – Air India (Goa), Mumbai FC – Mohun Bagan (Mumbai).
