Two-a-side tie-breaker at Batim

PANJIM: The 1st All-Goa 2-a-side football tie-breaker in memory of Joaquim Pillay organized by Blast Boys of Batim will be held on May 5 near New Super Drink Factory, at Batim, at 10.30 a.m.

PONDA: The 5th 2-a-side Ponda taluka football floodlit tie-breaker organized by Gaunem Youth Association, Gaunem-Ponda will be held on May 4 near Gaunem School ground, Gaunem, Ponda, 9 p.m. onwards.

Final trials for Coca Cola Cup at Seraulim

PANJIM: The final selection of players for the Coca Cola Cup National Football Championship will be held on May 2 at Seraulim ground at 8 a.m.

Tennis ball cricket at Parsem

PERNEM: The 1st All-India tennis ball cricket organized by Parsem Youth Sports Club, Parsem from May 2 to 5 at Kajro ground, Parsem.

In all, 16 teams from Goa, Maharashtra and Karnataka will participate. The winners will receive Rs 80,000 and a trophy while the runners-up will get Rs 40,000 and a trophy. The semi-finalists losers will be awarded Rs 10,000. Individual prizes will also be given.

Parsem YSC will also organize an inter-village cricket tournament for the villages of Pernem taluka. The winners will get Rs 10,000 while the runners-up will take home Rs 5,000. Football camp at Pilerne

CALANGUTE: A 15-day training-cum-coaching camp for youngsters from the village of Pilerne and surrounding villages (from 14 to 18 years) will be organized by Pilerne Sports Club in collaboration with Goa Football Development Council from May 1 to 15 from 4 to 6 p.m. 

Those interested may report at Pilerne ground on May 1 at 4 p.m.
