7-a-side cricket at Cumbharjua
MAPUSA: The seven-a-side underarm floodlit cricket tournament organized by Thapneshwar Sports Club, Cumbharjua will be held from January 25 to 27 at Filomena De Sa ground, Malawado, Cumbharjua.
The winners will receive Rs 7,786 while the runners-up will get Rs 4,786.

PANJIM: Sagar Palconda and Kenishia Menezes will lead the men’s and women’s Goa University team respectively in all-India inter-university taekwondo championship organized by Punjab University, Chandigarh.
Men: Sagar Palconda (captain), Siddhesh Naik, Mehendra Ananthu, Stephen Rodrigues, Vishal Naik, Shashi Kumar, Salman Shaikh, Sudhir Kumar.
Women: Kenishia Menezes (captain), Vaibhavi Chodankar, Deepali Gaikwad, Rita Dalai, Ujeeta Paradkar.

U-15 rapid chess at Curchorem
PANJIM: The all-Goa under-15 rapid chess tournament organized by Sarvodaya Educational Society HS, Curchorem will be held on January 31 at Sarvodaya School Hall, Curchorem, from 9 a.m.
The total prize money is Rs 10,000. Only 100 entries will be accepted.
