Tata Tea Jaago Re football

CALANGUTE: The Goa leg of Tata Tea Jaago Re Inter Milan soccer stars inter-school football tournament for boys under-15 will be held on February 14 and 15 at Calangute to unearth talent in Goa under the auspices of High Life Event Management.

The tournament will be held on 7-a-side basis for the school teams comprising 10 players beside a coach.  The winning team will represent Goa at All-India finals in Shillong in April.

U-14 girls football

PANJIM: The GFA will organise an under-14 girls tournament from February 1 at Rosary ground, Navelim; PJN outside ground, and Candolim ground.

A copy of the draw may be collected from the GFA offices in Panjim, PJN Stadium Fatorda or Duler.

India play Oman in friendly

PANJIM: In preparation for the forthcoming AFC Challenge Cup to be held in Kathmandu from March 8, the Indian senior National football team will play an international friendly against Oman in Muscat on February 23.

Bodybuilding at Batim

MARGAO: Ace Youth Association in collaboration with Musclemen Bodybuilding Association will organise their  first Mr Goa 2012 bodybuilding championship on January 29 at Batim panchayat hall, Goa Velha. Those interested may report at 5 p.m.for weighing-in. The competition will start at 6.30 p.m.
