PANJIM: Uppal, Sportsweek CC U-14 defeated Daniels by 75 runs, in the MCA/Sportsweek tour of Hyderabad, outside the Rajeev Gandhi International stadium, on Monday.
Electing to bat after winning the toss the opening pair of Jarvis Faleiro (58) and Jeevan Chittam (40 retired) shared 150 runs partnership and then Sanath Nevagi’s (19) in 7 balls enabled Sportsweek to reach 225/4 in 35 overs.
Three batsmen were run out and Suraj took one wicket. Chasing 226, Daniels cricket Academy were bundled out for 150 in 21 overs. Anurag Chauhan (3-27) took a hat trick while Atharva Golam picked 2 wickets.
The match was played on Astro turf because of the ground conditions of the main Stadium wasn’t suitable, however in the afternoon MCA and Sportsweek played a friendly match on the main stadium.
Both the teams will play VVS Laxman Academy at Aziz Nagar, Hyderabad tomorrow.
