MAPUSA: St Anthony Sports Club, Marna-Siolim thrashed Sangolda Lightning Club 4-1 to enter the second round of 9th all-goa Pio Jose Goveia memorial inter-village football tournament organized by Youth Sports Club of Colvale, at church ground, Colvale, on Friday. In the fourth minute, St Anthony went ahead off a delightful header taken by Glen Fernandes after Francis Fernandes assisted.
Post resumption, St Anthony went 2-0 ahead in the 37th minute off a clever pass from Ryan, which was easily tapped in by Aldridge.
Sangolda pulled one goal back in the 55th minute through Yogesh Mayekar.
In the 58th and 60th minutes, Glen and Francis completed their braces. Yogesh was declared man-of-the-match.
