MAPUSA: Sesa Football Academy thrased SAI Hostel, Ponda 6-1 in GFA’s under-16 First Division League, at Sirsaim ground, on Friday.
It was in the minute when medio Malcolm Gonsalves was brought down outside the danger zone by a SAI player and Jewel Fernandes converted the resultant free-kick.
Malcolm made it 2-0 from a clever pass by Glevito Miranda in the 23rd minute. Jewel again scored while Glevito made it 4-0 before the break.
After resumption, Sesa lads were all out for more goals and Glevito scored his brace in the 61st minute. SAI pulled a goal back in the 67th minute though Thengam Singh.
In the 70th minute, Visnu Gosavi was brought down outside the danger zone and Lionel D’Souza’s power-packed right footer gave no chance for the rival keeper.
