MARGAO: St Anthony Sports Club, Assolda got the better of Social Cultural Club of Loutolim (SCC) 2-1 to enter the final of Zenia and Ziya inter-village football tournament organized by Rossman Cruz Nagoa Sports Club, at Manora ground, Raia, on Saturday. The teams were locked goalless at the breather.
Ronaldo Dias of SCC Loutolim missed an easy scoring chance in the first session of the play.
Soon, Succorro Fernandes also had an opportunity to give the lead to St Anthony but failed to score from open distance.
It was Agnes Vaz, who gave the lead to St Anthony at the start of the second session, capitalizing on a cross from Vicky Fernandes.
Succorro, then doubled the lead for St Anthony. Volney Vaz reduced the margin for SCC Loutolim.
