SANKHALIM: St Anthony Sports Club Marina Siolim defeated Sai Avtar Anjuna 5-4 via the tie-breaker to enter the final of the 2nd late Musa Ali Aga memorial football tournament, organised by Eagles Sports Club played, at Sankhali ground on Thursday.
In the third minute, Maruti Harijan scored the first goal for Sai Avtar Anjuna .
As the match progressed, Gaurav Vaigankar of St Anthony Sports Club received marching orders following a deliberate foul on the opponent as referee flashed a straight red.
Further there was a tough contest between the two sides as they showcased a good game.
Atlast Dalesh Pednekar equalised for St Anthony in the 50th minute.
In the tie-breaker, Sangam Pednekar, Dalesh Pednekar, Richard Pereira and Vidhesh Sawant scored for St Anthony SC Marna Siolim while Dinesh Moraskar, Pratik Dharglkar and Aniket Dabholkar scored for Sai Avtar Anjuna.
Man of the match was awarded to Pushparaj Mandrekar of St Anthony SC
