MAPUSA: St. Anthony’s SC, Marna socred a huge win over Milagres SC by 7-2 to enter the quarter-finals of the Vagator Soccer (UK Cup), organised by Vagator PYSC, at Vagator Ozran ground, on Wednesday.
The Marna colts were all over the rival territory and scored five goals in the first session of play.
The main architect for Marna was Sherwin Lobo who opened the account in the 21st minute, by getting hold of a pass from Dalesh Pednekar and scored past the advancing Milagres keeper Milagres Viegas to take the lead.
Just three minutes later, Marna doubled their lead through Siddhant Shirodkar off a pass from Shubham.
Siddhant netted his brace in the 27th minute from outside the penalty box to make it 3-0.
Marna further added two more goals in the 31st minute and 35th minute through Dalesh Pednekar and Vipul Pednekar respectively.
On crossing over, Milagres looked a transformed unit where they pulled two goals through Nayan Vinodkar and Stephen Martins.
